I am incredibly excited to announce my first short story publication, in long con magazine! "Psychopomp" is a story about sharing a bizarre experience with someone you know is about to leave your life for good. But it also has weird moths and a capybara-looking alien. longconmag.com/issue-2-2/je...

What do people without anxiety think about when they're getting a massage? Because I have a feeling they're not imagining what would happen if the fire alarm went off while they were lying there in their skivvies.

Is anyone else repeatedly getting ads on YouTube with A.I. generated images showing Mark Carney getting arrested? I have reported these things five times now. Today's included a CBC logo, so they're impersonating the news, and when I accidentally clicked on it, it took me to a blog about weddings.

This date square tastes like it was made by someone who heard a description of a date square once and went "I can make that"

Super hype to have written this piece on hitchBOT, since a hitchhiking robot makes an appearance in my work-in-progress novel (albeit in a very different context). www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/h...

It occurs to me that I should take songs with references to drowning off my swimming playlist. Though it would be truly on brand for me to actually drown with Raine Maida droning "I'LL BE WAVING MY HAND..." in my ears.

How does one prevent one's cat from doing very stupid things, such as attempting to climb into the hot oven?

Cat, no! I got you to hunt real mice, not computer mice.

Making Geoff run around in FFVII Rebirth until he finds the NPC with a cute dress so I can get a better look at it. "No, right--left, left. That one!"

At work I keep typing "nori" instead of "Noir." Sushi History Month would be an entirely different sort of event.

Adventures in sewing my own pants: yes I am unpicking the waistband for a SECOND time because even if it seemed the right fit when I pinned it, there is still so much ease that I can fit my whole arm in

Precedented: prorogation of parliament, prime ministerial resignations. Unprecedented: a sitting PM saying parliament needs to "calme les pompons."

I have now finally come into possession of the five logs of vegan cheese that I was promised out of the large box (valued at $400) that was delivered to my parents by mistake and which they were told to keep. It's the fake chèvre kind. What do I eat it with? Normally a real chèvre eater, personally.

Just got a package delivered. At 12:10 AM. I saw the flash of the driver's camera through the window and thought we were being robbed.
