Pennsylvania has an important Supreme Court race coming up on Tuesday, November 4. If you live in the Keystone State, or know someone who does, vote YES to retain three justices who will protect your fundamental rights and freedoms.

There is so much ludicrousness to react to with this administration.
I vacillate between fear and anger on a daily basis.
But I also steep myself in any humor, joy, and softness I can find.
Because I refuse to let the tentacles of authoritarianism hold me.

This was a disgusting display by the soft, uninformed VP Vance trying to school Zelensky, the man who has led his country through the most surprisingly resilient and effective fight for sovereignty against a global superpower.

Every negative stereotype about America is confirmed in this exchange.
ZELENSKYY: Putin broke the ceasefire. What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about?

VANCE: I think it's disrespectful to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media

I just gotta say…I LOVE my dentist!

Yay for pleasant interactions with medical professionals, caring staff members, and customer service that actually listens and cares and is FOR you.

It makes a difference.

As I shared last week, the US's first National Nature Assessment has been shut down: but the authors, led by @phillevin.bsky.social, are determined to continue. Read more: www.nytimes.com/2025/02/10/c...
Trump Killed a Major Report on Nature. They’re Trying to Publish It Anyway. (Gift Article)
The first full draft of the assessment, on the state of America’s land, water and wildlife, was weeks from completion. The project leader called the study “too important to die.”

Stepped into draft #7 of my sci-fi/fantasy novel yesterday and it was…..SO MUCH FUN.
I could’ve been pushing myself since draft #6 to pick up the pace, produce more quickly, get it done, etc.
But I didn’t.
It was time for a break.
And now it’s time for…not a break.

What we support and where we push for change can build momentum. I’ve read that fewer than 10 phone calls can get a member of Congress to pay attention.

Things I’ve been doing lately: Unsubscribing from a ton of emails!

Too many people wanting my money, loyalty, and attention.

I don’t care for it.

“Throwing It All Away” by Genesis came on in the grocery store today and I had a moment in the mixed nuts section.
It’s so catchy and sad. The chord changes from verse to chorus are so beautiful.

Also, the other night we roasted some vegetables and grilled some chicken, all made with Moroccan-inspired spices. Topping them with chopped dates, cilantro, toasted sliced almonds, and feta cheese WAS A REVELATION.

Algorithms.

Peak productivity.

We just finished watching the entire “Superstore” series.
What a fabulous show. Such great characters. Made us laugh so hard we often had to pause and rewind.
Cried during the last episode.
Can’t get past the longing we have to belong, and the meaning that comes when we do.

Also, does anyone else lay on the floor with their dog and hold their paw in your hand while singing the chorus of Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best”?
Or maybe that’s just me.

Are we in the moon phase this week where everyone is irritating, causing more problems than they’re solving, communicating badly, and just generally off kilter?

Things That Are True:

I have two sweaters that are dry clean only.
I’ve been wearing both of them regularly for about 7 years now
and I’ve
NEVER
ever
had either of them dry cleaned.
Not once.
They don’t smell. {As far as I I can tell.}
I wonder how long I can go.
Is that gross?
I don’t care

80/20, people.

80% of your posts >> nurture.
20% of your posts >> promotional.

Lately it seems 100% of people’s posts & emails are promotional. Everybody’s wanting something from me. My money, my loyalty, my attention, my presence.

I’m so tired of it.
Please, can we nurture more?
