I make stuff » music | games | art | eventually hopefully the world into a better place.

Check my site if you want specifics.
Found old copies of the Torque and RealmCrafter game engines while cleaning out stuff for a move.

What a wave of nostalgia.

I think I've trained myself in a bad way. I was totally ready to go to bed until I got IN bed.

Now I'm laying here writing new features for my website.

Turns out Apple wallet passes are way easier to make than I thought they would be.

This is gonna be fun.

I've about tapped the procrastination well that was finishing my personal website. I guess its time to get back to regularly scheduled work.

Also hey - check out the site! jessedorsey.com

AI coding is still very touch-and-go for me right now, but Cursor is more than paying for itself in just writing storybook stories for all of the components that I'm writing.

“Yeah! And I’ll write the multiplayer server in Rust! It’ll be great”

Game dev is hard enough, why would I do this to myself.

Hey Booksky 📚💙 - Do you have any recommendations for incremental release of chapters? Things like Royal Road or Scribblehub?

Knowing I have to be an approaching-responsible adult the next day really takes the fun out of these all-night coding sessions.

Watching the clock so that I can get that critical 1 hour & 30 minutes of sleep just spoils it all.

So one of the hardest parts of the social media thing for me is - what do i show? I’m primarily a programmer, so the things that i’d have to show that other people want to see are primarily my colleagues work.

Any advice?

Oh crap, go follow the homie @gabe.odditynook.com - one of the coolest and most talented people I know, so much so that we started a game studio together
Hi, I'm Gabe! Ive been in the game industry for 17 years working on everything from indie games to AAA blockbusters.

I've avoided twitter the last few years but really love the premise of Bluesky, so I'm gonna to start posting my art here. For example, this guy:

Still not caught up on work but I can’t let go of this desire to build a new ATS.

Boring, I know, but the job market sucks and it really doesn’t feel like it needs to be.

People want to work, people want work to get done, that this disconnect exists is really weird to me.

Aight - so I’m Jesse: I make stuff, games, art, music - way too much software. All in service of hopefully maybe making the world a better / more connected / more interesting place.

Not the most interested in social media but imma try eventually so in the spirit of that. #AddToBlackSky

Alright - I'm resolving to make some progress on all my personal-type (I guess also including companies I'm at) sites before the end of this month.

What's that saying about the cobblers children?
