Breaking news: Strongly written letters are still an ineffective tool to fight fascism.

I spent my childhood in San Diego and I will always refer to the Chargers as the San Diego Chargers

I was talking to my housemate that is in his mid sixties and he had never heard of the San Diego chicken.
I asked a lot of questions which led him telling me that he has never been in a riot.
I told him that there will be plenty of opportunities.

Caving in doesn’t show anything but weakness. The fascists just take it as a win with the only lesson learned is that if they hold the country hostage the dems will always back off.
They already want to starve us and deny healthcare what does giving them a win do?!?

I woke up on this Election Day to the news that the war criminal Cheney has died.
I hope this is a sign that the votes will go well.

It feels weird as everything collapses but I have a renewed creative energy. I have been working on a new poetry project (hopefully it will become a full book length collection) and now and friends and I are working on a new reading series/writers circle in Seattle that starts in January
Defiance!

My current poetry project is around 20th century painters and people in relationships with them
In my research for this project it’s been a real bummer the number of times I run into then there were nazis or something similar and it was not a good time for anyone
Giger didn’t have those problems

Unfortunately I had to work today so I wasn’t able to get out with everyone for No Kings Day.
Fortunately the march route was right in front of my cafe. So impressed with the massive turnout here in Seattle.

Fought myself to go to a reading that I thought started at 5 Got to the venue and it doesn’t start until 7
A thing I hate about being a poet is I have to constantly create then I hate that I also have to engage with people, coming in third is I have to remember what time those forced engagements are
