SNP councillor for Elgin City North.

I am a migrant. I am the son of migrants.

I first became involved in politics protesting Le Pen’s far right in 2002.

22 years on , seeing the far-right polling at 13% here in Scotland , a place I now call home, is a punch in the guts.

Only 53.6% of eligible people in the NHS Grampian area and 52.3% in NHS Highland have had their flu vaccine.

If you’ve not had yours yet, please do – it’s the best way to protect yourself, our NHS, and those around you.

⚽️I certainly hope a deal can be agreed.

Scotland National Teams’ games belong on terrestrial TV, not YouTube or Viaplay.

Everyone should be able to watch Scotland’s men’s and women’s teams play in the World Cup, the Euro or the Nations League for free on TV.

I usually have a policy of not criticising independence supporters, but for Ash Regan I will make an exception.

Indy movement: Let's win Indy so we can make Scotland a fairer & better place

Ash Regan : Let's do it by selling out to a billionaire fascist who is hell bent on destroying democracy.

After hearing from people struggling to rent in Speyside and along the coast due to short-term lets, I moved that the Council should investigate the feasibility of STL control zones.

That’s the SNP listening to people’s concerns and working for them.

Moray’s short-term lets hotspot revealed
New analysis shows that Speyside Glenlivet has more than three times the proportion of short-term lets compared to the Moray average.

Cashback for Communities has supported 68 young people in Moray this year, steering them away from anti-social behavior.

Since its launch, over £1M from proceeds of crime has funded 33,000+ activities with partners like the Scottish FA, YouthLink, and Impact Arts. #CashbackForCommunities

💉I recently joined @MorayMSP on a visit to the vaccination centre in Elgin.

🦠I strongly encourage everyone who is eligible to attend their appointment.

✅Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself and support the NHS this winter.

✅Asylum seekers should be allowed to work. It’s a no brainer.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Good to see that it is now the position of the Scottish Government

🗓️In June 2023, I raised this very issue in the Moray Council, and I fully support this work pilot.

To mark the first of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, I attended the Reclaim the Night March organised by Moray Rape Crisis.

We all have part to play in eradicating gender based violence 🕯️

In 2021, the SNP ran on a manifesto to pursue independence and won the election with that clear mandate.

It’s not up to Alex Cole-Hamilton to decide what the people of Scotland want.

📣I’m launching community street surgeries, knocking on doors to listen to residents, hear their concerns, and celebrate what’s great about our neighborhoods.

❄️This winter, I’ll be visiting different areas of the ward and can’t wait to meet as many people as possible!

A report reveals 34.4% of our tenants are skipping heating because they can’t afford it.

Meanwhile, Labour’s budget

🏠froze the Local Housing Allowance
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒kept the two-child cap
💷 cut Winter Fuel Payments

This will push families further into poverty. 🥀

Keir Starmer promised during the General Election campaign he would "back a review" of the utterly vile rape clause. Yet after four months in power, the Two Child Limit remains in place. It must be axed as a matter of urgency.

🏘️ We're bringing forward legislation to enhance tenants’ rights through measures such as rent controls.

📢 Scottish Labour backed this in committees but in the chamber they voted against rent controls.

❓ Labour must tell renters are they for or against rent controls.
