Committed optimist and champion of decarceration. Founder & ED of Illinois Prison Project. Mom. Better at lawyering than social media. We all need hope.
Last week, Illinois Prison Project won medical release for a terminally ill client. We are thrilled for him and his family, but devastated for our two clients who were denied. We've made progress implementing this life/money saving law, but have a really long way to go.
