Finally finished reading this, out loud, with my 13 yr old. I cried several times. But the last line of The Toll gripped my heart so hard, and I sobbed! But what really got to me was the way my son responded with a caring touch and said,
"Now that's how a story should feel"😭

Update: it's the 15th and I've dnf'd one book from my shelf and just finished another that was absolutely amazing. I call this a win!
New goal: read 1 physical book per week from my bookshelf.
I own 700+ books and have read about 50%, I blame my kindle! She's the problem, not me. 😉
