Abundant on drive where I park my car - a bit of thallus about the size of my thumbnail had possibly 50 perithecia on it! #lichenGBI

Houseboat deck on lignum, thallus +/- sorediate, K+yellow, C+ orange, UV+ orange-brown. Pale brown apothecia, some pruinose, spores 8-13(-15) x 4.5-5 µm. Possibly very fertile Lecanora expallens but KUV(wet)+yellowish instead of bright green?

A #lichenicolous fungus on 3 different Arthonia radiata thalli - but the spores (c.10-13 x 2.5-3 µm) appear too small for Stigmidium arthoniae (17-23 x 4-5 µm). Once again at a loss as I've checked the 2010 Draft Keys and Arthonia LFs in LGBI3 without success! @fayrnhawk.bsky.social

Lecideine apothecia I thought were Catillaria nigroclavata until checked.
Spores (1-)3 septate 7-12 x 2-3 µm, a few paraphyses had swollen dark caps (ruled out Micarea). Keyed to Lecania and then L.naegelii - but spores too wide! Any thoughts @aspenecology.com @larkinlichen.bsky.social

1/2 Can't make sense of black perithecia with slightly pointed apices on Oak twig. Under microscope K+ bluish-green, spores (1-)3 septate, 15-22 x 4.5-5 µm, conidia c5(-7)x2 (but no obvious pycnidia).

Just wondering if anyone knows the identity of the lichen in this photograph at the start of LGBI3, Volume 35 Ramalinaceae?

Found corticolous Porina byssophila several times recently, but always with a K+ blue-grey or blue-green reaction in involucrellum.
This specimen had a paler thallus, no K+ bluish reaction but spores were 3-5(-6) septate, 20-24 x 4-5 µm - but still P. byssophila? @aspenecology.com

Bacidina(?) on fencepost, solitary whitish / pinky-brown apothecia. Hymenium yellowish, K-, spores to 7-septate, 25-30(-37) x 1.5(-2) µm and possibly +/- coiled in asci.
Post covered with yellow-greenish soredia/alga so not clear what might be the thallus. Any thoughts @aspenecology.com?

Spores green > brown, (1-)3(-4) sept, few with vertical septum, 22-25 x 10-12 µm. Some septa pale.
Spore appendage c. half spore length, leaving truncate base.
Non-lichenised but with BLS number? @aspenecology.com @fayrnhawk.bsky.social

Three different specimens on sunny, exposed fence post, all with curved spores +/- coiled in the asci. Spores to 7-septate, 17-22(-24) x 1.5-2.5 µm.
Keep coming back to Scoliciosporum umbrinum but not sure I haven't missed something obvious? @aspenecology.com @larkinlichen.bsky.social

Well, it took a while but I think I finally got there!
Micarea doliiformis pycnidia on a old pine stump, the conidia hyaline, c.2.5-3 x 1-1.5 µm. Only come across it once before and that time it was fertile

Physcia aipolia spec with various LFs, both with 3-armed conidia(?) also present, arms (15-)22-30(-37) x (2-)2.5-3 µm. Tried keying them in The Flora of Lichenicolous Fungi Vol 2 (Hyphomycetes) but got hopelessly lost!
@larkinlichen.bsky.social found similar/same in Lecanora section

Lecanora chlarotera s.l. on Betula with +/- totally blackened apothecia. No host asci or spores but 3(-4) armed conidia(?), each arm c7 x 2.5 µm, some septate.
There was a thread on UK Fungi website but can't find and @larkinlichen.bsky.social might have come across similar?

2015, lichenicolous on Porpidia tuberculosa. Small clusters of tiny black apothecia with roughened exposed discs and raised margins. Most spores 3 septate, 15-24 x 7-9 µm, epithecium darker green in K, paraphyses branched.
Phacographa glaucomaria is close but host wrong. Suggestions?
