Word has it this hit the FDA probationary employees last night as well @altfda.bsky.social why no communication. Does the FDA still expect to meet their GDUFA/PDUFA dates with the reduced staff?
Firing probationary employees is senseless. Probationaries are:
-New to their position
-Make lower salaries
-Recruited to bring in new talent
-Far LESS likely to be dogmatic
They're being fired because they have fewer protections. Not because this will improve government efficiency or cut costs.

The first step of ridiculousness. Let’s ignore all the previously analyzed data by scientists to see if nonscientists give results we want. We should also send heroin addicts and anyone on antidepressants together to a camp..I mean, farm, to grow food for us.

Interestingly, in Loper Bright vs Raimondo, the conservative majority on SCOTUS ruled just last year that the judiciary can in fact overrule regulatory decisions made by the executive branch especially when those decisions are not specified by Congress.
