Threaten the LDS Church w/ losing lawsuits, & they'll do almost anything, even background checks! (New UT law)

LDS Church says they "supported this law" & "does EVERYTHING they can to prevent abuse".

So, why do they implement background checks only where & when they're legally required? 🤔

LDS Members say, "We have less abuse than any other religion!"...so they can excuse & not care about LDS abuse.

This is what "less abuse" looks like in just the last 2 months, based on PUBLIC reports. (Most abuse is never made public.)

This is where they willingly bring their kids.

Each time an LDS Bishop is charged w/ sex crimes, LDS Church Leadership must think:

"Should we protect LDS kids going forward?🤔

Nah... let's tell kids that Bishops are called-of-God & normalize sex questions from adult men & keep putting kids in danger.
Too bad so sad for the victims though!"

“You’d never hear abt adult men marrying children in another church & think, “Hmmmm… maybe there’s a good reason for that!”

It seems Mormon God wants LDS members to justify activity that looks exactly like abuse.

The LDS Church claims God knows each person & HE chooses LDS callings.

Sorry... God would NOT choose predator Bishops & leaders who are capable of sexually abusing ward kids.

The LDS Church uses God's name in vain claiming callings are by God. It gives predators undue trust & puts kids in danger.

Hmmm. LDS Mission ldr, temple prep tchr, & works w/ 14-17 yo’s at church…charged w/ child sex crimes.

That’s a whole lot of failed discernment.

If the LDS church wants to claim discernment, then they shld be held accountable for giving pedos trust & asserting they’re “worthy”, which enables abuse.

It haunts me how many "good" ppl in my LDS ward covered up CSA by a serial pedophile.

Why'd they do it?
-Church leaders told them to keep quiet
-Protect church rep & avoid scandal
-Fear the stigma of "making waves"

They probably feel good abt their actions, but they were actually complicit in CSA.

LDS Church responds to a 6-part series on LDS sexual abuse mishandling...

w/ condescension & inviting the journalist to:
-go to church
-ask mmbrs abt their joy
-watch GenCon
-read the BOM

"Don't point out how we destroy abuse victims when indoctrination'll make you forget abt that!"

Heaven's Helpline Ep5 is 10/10, so well-done. It gutted me.

A behind-the-scenes look at a real case showing how sexual abuse is dealt w/ in the LDS Church:

-Minimize accusations
-Knowingly put kids in danger
-Prop up offndrs
-Ostracize concerned mmbrs
-Ignore/shame victims
-Coverup

✴️Must listen: Heaven's Helpline, Ep4
- LDS Church uses clergy priv & attorney privilege to avoid reporting abuse & to keep LDS sex abuse secret
- The 'Abuse Helpline' is to address risks to the church, not kids
- LDS Church's response to abuse deliberately protects church reputation & $$ over kids.

How would you expect a ‘true Church of Jesus Christ’ to respond upon learning a child has been sexually abused?

Would they immediately call church attorneys to see if they can get away with NOT reporting the abuse to police?

The Mormon Church says to:

REPENT!
-Confess your wrongs
-Express regret
-Apologize
-Commit to change
-Make amends for harm done

Also...

It's OK for the church to...
-Protect predators/not report
-Enable abuse
-When caught, defend it!
-Don't apologize
-Fight to NOT help victims harmed
-Do it again
