Oh, ya know, I just made some sad art about the terror induced by the thought of losing my health insurance. I'm self-employed and require ongoing, expensive medical treatments, and I wouldn't have health insurance without the ACA. Anyhoooo- How do I describe this image? I took a photo of a cool old sign I saw on West 7th in St. Paul, MN. Onto the sign, I superimposed a photo of my hand holding a banana up to the ear of my Monkey painting. On the marquee part, I typed "I HOPE I GET TO KEEP MY HEALTH INSURANCE." #ACA

😀 FUN NEWS: I got to design a puzzle for Djeco Toys in Paris!
😥 BUMMER NEWS: I don't think the puzzles are available for purchase anywhere in the US.
My original painting of a sloth for Djeco Toys in Paris, FR. This painting was commissioned for their line of animal-shaped puzzles called "Puzz'Art. It's a colorful scene with lots of birds, a dog, a cat in tube socks, a school of striped fish, a squirrel, a rabbit, a couple of moths, and many other fuzzy friends and fantastical plants- within the outline shape of a lime green, hanging sloth. The background is a warm, pale green. This is a photo of my sloth painting sitting on a table with three puzzle boxes sitting in the foreground. They are 500-piece jigsaw puzzles of the sloth painting. (Does that even make sense?!) The puzzles were shipped to me from Djeco Toys in France as samples, but I can't find them for purchase anywhere in the US. Sad!

Two 12x16" acrylic paintings. The one on the left has three little black and blue birds bumbling around in a colorful, imaginary landscape of giant leaves and flowers. The one on the right is a closer view of a single bird in a similar landscape. The leaves are in shades of blue, orange, hot pink, and fluorescent yellow. This kid caught a big ol fish to the delight of Lake Nokomis #NoKings Rally Go-ers.
I took this photo from the Cedar Ave bridge over Lake Nokomis. A kid below brought in a big fish and I asked him to hold it up. The No Kings Rally crowd gathered on the bridge cheered. ADORABLE!

Here's my #MNStateFair Fine Arts Show Reject painting, "Duck, Duck, Duck." #StateFairReject

A view of 3 out of 6 of utility boxes I designed for Creative Bloomington and Xcel Energy. They show colorful flowers, birds, and a big, weird, smiling moth with a bright blue sky and puffy white clouds in the background. Four of the boxes are vinyl-wrapped (by Creative Color, Inc. Signa & Graphic Studio) and two are hand-painted. They're right on the bike/ped path- Go see 'em!? Send me a selfie!?
