So the wait for this one on Libby was much shorter than for the first book, and I got the ebook this time rather than the audiobook. Very exciting follow up, with another jaw-dropping ending. This author seems to like cliffhanger endings! #Booksky

Witty, darkly comic, very sexy – this series is set in an alternate version of 16th century England where people who can turn into animals are persecuted. The sardonic narrator and the modern soundtrack adds to the charm. Wish it wasn’t cancelled. 8.5/10 #TVSky

Another excellent whodunit, with thematic layers and great character work. The dark humour is still there and I was enthralled with following the unraveling of the mystery; I didn’t even notice that the film was 2.5 hours long. 8/10 #Filmsky

Season 1 is called Chapter 1 and I hope we get Chapters 2 and 3 as planned. This horror series pulls no punches and I love it so much, with the Easter eggs and the callbacks to other Stephen King places/characters. The child actors are excellent! 9.5/10 #TVSky

The first of five novels, I picked this up because the 3rd book was released this year and seems to be loved by many. I quite enjoyed the worldbuilding and mythology around the dragons and their riders. #Booksky

I watched the first film, and I had the 1982 graphic novella too; didn’t realize there was a TV series (a Shudder original). I watched these 6 episodes on Hoopla. Enjoyably creepy, love them. 8.5/10 #TVSky

This Korean film is not an easy watch as we see workers struggle against unfair dismissal and job conditions, sometimes actual physical violence. The fight is the point though, and we see one person in particular find her voice. 7/10 #Filmsky

I resisted watching this #kdrama because it happened at such a desperately sad time in Joseon’s history, but I'm glad I watched it. It's a love story: for a person, for a cause, for a country. We see yearning and loss, but the series ends on a hopeful note. 9.5/10 #TVSky

In this 3rd Dept Q novel, our villain is a suave guy who has been committing the same crime for years. We learn something new about both Rose and Assad this time, too. I really liked this one. #Booksky

Nice workplace #kdrama set in the late 90s with some romance on the side. I found the weekly setbacks stressful though, but I love the side characters. I want to know what this song's title is! 8/10 #TVSky www.youtube.com/shorts/ODh7f...

I actually like this sequel to the series more than the original; the characters are much more interesting to me, especially Percival. I do wonder why Arthur changed so much though. 7.5/10 #TVSky #Anime
Do not watch this Polish horror film while you are eating. This one is quite suspenseful with gruesome set pieces, though it did feel a tad slow in the beginning. I loved the ending imagery. 6.5/10 #Filmsky

This show centers on Edward, a young boy who is the sole survivor of a plane crash that took the lives of everyone else on it, including his family. We also watch how a disparate group of people, loved ones of the victims, cope with the grief. 8/10 #TVSky

This Korean film stars Kang Hye Jung (she was Mi Do in Old Boy) as a mentally challenged 20-year-old navigating first love and the illness of her mother. There are some cute and funny moments in the beginning, but this is mostly a melodrama. 7/10 #Filmsky

There’s some really bad acting from some parties here, but it’s so bad, it’s actually funny. Also, who can believe Han Ga In is ugly with glasses on? The women in this #kdrama are all gorgeous, and Jae Hee is very charming. Starts out ok, but loses steam. 6/10 #TVSky
Rose shows up in this second Department Q novel, yay! This book has really evil, sadistic villains. And Kimmie, complicated, strong, sad Kimmie. I really liked her. #Booksky

The constant struggle between self-interest and reporting the truth is always front and center. The characters can sometimes be unlikable, but I love how they try so hard to help each other when push comes to shove. 9.5/10 #TVSky

Excellent Korean thriller, with a great ending shot. I love the moral greyness of it all, as people in power deny fault and those without power become desperate to be heard. 8.5/10 #Filmsky

A TV series that shows love stories between couples, parent-child, siblings, and friends, all working things out. The movie-making aspect wasn’t as fleshed out as I wanted but that’s not the point after all. I liked the bittersweet and open ending. 7.5/10 #TVSky #KDrama

This was okay; not as good as the first film. I think it’s because the characters’ expressions look very flat, and this might have been better as an illustrated book rather than animated film. They also left out a lot from the book.6/10 #Filmsky

The mythology around vampires as well as the physical condition of the victims described in this story is quite novel. Racism is touched on as well as a Chinese family plays a prominent role. This is quite scary #Booksky

Charming film based on Gertrude Chandler Warner’s book. The illustrations (background and character work) are very nice, though the animation (the spoken parts) is not quite as smooth as, say, a Disney animation. Still, I quite enjoyed this. 8/10 #Filmsky
