The core under pining principles how how I want my teams to play

No matter the level

How they’re applied and how it looks will look different depending on the team and situation

But these never do

From the moment you win the ball back

When you’re in front of goal

When you’ve beaten a player in a 1v1 and need to find a next pass

From fire 🔥 to ice cold ❄️

Practice working on defending against direct play concept I've just come up with - happy to take thoughts and comments

Main focus
Back 4 dropping in against long ball

Secondary focus
Midfield screening and sliding ball into front players

Tertiary focus
2nd balls and counter attacking

Spent the last two days feeling properly under the weather.

Apart from the hour tonight at football.

Went straight into coaching mode and apparently my body completely ignored the virus that’s kicked my butt the last 48 hours 😂

Neville is absolute right about teams getting too structured

Always been of an opinion to break a tight block you need at least one player who can receive on tight areas, twist and drive to disrupt)

Foden, Messi, Bellingham

Slow passing plays into the defending teams hands

Me but the next 5 minutes #totmu
I do not have any coping mechanisms for the next four years. I am all tapped out.

Someone check Forsters betting account.

Must have had over 5.5 goals in play at half time.

Only explanation (ok not the only one)

Delighted for Solanke

A lot of the work he does is so unselfish.

Deserves those two goals

Some of the solutions Spurs have found to get out of tight already in their own defensive corners has been unbelievable at times so far in this first half.

Risky? Absolutely!

But really class when they get it right

Feel in a good place with my sessions right now.

Putting in the extra planning time definitely paying off.

Obviously not perfect and there is loads of improvement I’d like to see from myself.

But happy enough!

Finally got my kid off screens

Whilst picturing him in front of a huge tv

Also going to make next to know difference on footballing ability

Anyone else get these scams come up?

I’m liking what I’m seeing from this Fulham side so far.

Really organised defensively and clearly the tools to find ways to hurt you. Not just short but baiting the press to go long.

Better touch from Smith-Rowe there and potentially 2-0.

What a goal that is for Fulham.

Shows the importance of having flexibility in your build up.

Had tried a number of avenues to go through so Leno makes the decision to go over/direct with quality.

Secured and then punched in behind with a lovely finish.

I have always been a believer and supporter of playing out from the back.

But, you have to have flexibility and recognise the picture.

Sometimes the right option is to clear lines and reset.

You become harder to play against as a result.

I’m having panic attacks watching Arsenals set pieces tonight knowing how bad Spurs are at defending corners 😭

Hopefully they get worse at them by the time the NLD comes round again 😂
