They're always looking for any opportunity to take away women's autonomy and force them into pregnancy and parenting:

The Trump administration is moving to freeze tens of millions of dollars designated for certain family planning organizations, including Planned Parenthood.

So on this here #internationalwomensday I'm reading political takes on why MAGA is pissed at Amy Coney Barrett, for whom i have exactly zero love lost, but wooo boy. First: her face. "She looks bitter." Man, you can't win. Smile, you're a lightweight. Don't smile the right way: you're bitter.

I’m giving myself a break from politics for a few days so I don’t have to get worked up about the @nytimes.com having 3 Dems on to critique the party & none of them Black or Brown, the voters most loyal to our party. PASS THE EGGNOG PLS.

This piece by my friend Alex Abramovich is must read - beautifully bringing together what insurance denials, vaccine denying, abortion vigilantism have in common. A gorgeous, terrifying, invigorating five minute read:

In a sense, Blake Masters’ campaigns were a success then: demonstrated loyalty to Trump & showed willingness to be rubber stamp for the corporate gun lobby:

A phrase I absolutely hate: “support for traditional families” (for example, used in todays NYT). It’s as bad as “pro-life.” I support traditional families & non trad ones. If you only support traditional fams, you should be described as “anti-families that are different from yours.”

You can criticize this appointment all you want but who among you has never set up your own brother-in-law with a hooker, recorded the interaction in a seedy hotel room and sent the video to your own sister in order to penalize her for taking your other brother's side in a business dispute?

Trump’s abortion bans are killing women.

She had two little boys. She needed a d&c. Instead, she died in the hospital.
NEW: Porsha Ngumezi is the fifth case we've reported on in which a woman died after not receiving a D&C or its second-trimester equivalent in time, or at all.

Her case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.
