I have to admit, a lot went over my head when I watched this performance and I knew I would need to dig into some analysis today. I love artists who can pack so much depth into their work through lyrics and imagery. This performance was timely and powerful. I’m a fan.

The sparrows that nest in my yard were back this morning, the sun is out again today melting the snow, and my daffodils are popping up. Feeling so grateful to be more in sync with Mother Earth these days. Imbolc blessings to those who celebrate.

Spent this cold, sunny day with my best friend and her dogs on her enclosed porch. Then came home and cooked a split pea dal over rice. I used cinnamon stick and whole cloves with all the other spices, and it came out beautifully. It’s a family favorite and just what we needed. 💗 #everydaymagic

I still have Facebook because of my business… I’m having a really hard time sticking to my rule of not fighting with ignorant strangers on the internet right now. Last night I told a maga “christian” that she would crucify Jesus all over again. Am I the asshole? 😇

I’m at a loss. 8 years ago I tried to advocate against ICE raids within the Christian community I belonged to and I was met with apathy and dismissal. Today I know it’s not worth my time and effort, but it still breaks my heart. The teachings of Jesus don’t matter when nationalism rules. #whyileft

ICE presence has been confirmed in my community today. Our local immigration advocacy organization announced that the ICE field office in my area has a quota of 75 arrests per day. They were seen at our local Walmart. I’m so angry, sad, and disgusted.

I really don’t care about football, but do find it delightful that so many fragile men are crying today because Taylor’s team made it to the Super Bowl again. She’s ruining everything! 😂

After a stormy/windy day my tomato plants are often laying on the ground. I don’t ever think “you should have been stronger”. I think “that was rough, here is some extra support”. I wonder when we started treating our tomatoes with more care than ourselves. It’s rough out there. Be supportive 💜

None of what’s happening right now is a surprise to those who’ve been paying attention, especially those of us who were raised evangelical. I can name names of some silent backers with heavy pockets.

It’s a special kind of annoying when someone who criticized you for “being too political online” in 2017 is now posting all the same things you were posting back then. Maybe if she and others like her would have listened to me the first time around, we wouldn’t be in this mess. 🙄
