I had heard legend of large cents in the mid 1800s being turned into washers when the price of washers rose above 1 cent, but have never seen any actual evidence until I found this one. Has clearly been used as a washer, and you can just make out the "UNI" in UNITED STATES.

I think it will be hard for Putin to reject this 30 day ceasefire proposal outright. The stakes now (in his view) are much more than just Ukraine - the bigger prize is the US-Russia diplomatic normalization, dropping of sanctions, driving a wedge within NATO, etc🧵

One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?
They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.
That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

It took 2 months, but people are waking up and smelling the coffee - which, as an import commodity, could be tariffed 25% when the Clown in Chief feels like it.
