I’m doing my best to broadcast my love of reading and the books and authors themselves. I’ll also show my whimsy. I’m engaged to a lovely man. Pronouns:she/her 🇺🇦

I’m doing the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die list. There are 1,318 books total over every edition of the list. I’m going to read books from every edition because the 1st list has non-English books that haven’t been translated. I hope to read a 1001 books in this way.
I’ve read my November books! Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata and Pnin by Vladimir Nabokov. The second one is an 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die book and that makes it 189 books read!

If you want to be completely up to date on my reading challenges, @thestorygraph.com is where to go and I have the same screen name there. For instance, I decided to read another weird horror book besides Jane Slayre.

Hi #booksky! I’ve now read over 100 books this year but I’m still finishing book challenges. I have my November and December books to read for Easy Reading and Beyond the Bookends Reading Challenges. I’ve got two books left for the @bookriot.bsky.social Read Harder Challenge.

I’m now reading Cat in a Quicksilver Caper by Carole Nelson Douglas and Cane and Abe by James Grippando. The second book is my October book for the 2025 Easy Reading Challenge.

I’ve finished Downstate by @jefferydeaver.bsky.social and The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.

I’ve finished Cat in a Hot Pink Pursuit by Carole Nelson Douglas and moved on to Cat in a Quicksilver Caper. I’m halfway through The Poisonwood Bible.
September 27, 2025 at 4:43 AM
I’ve started on Downstate by @jefferydeaver.bsky.social so it’s that, Cat in a Hot Pink Pursuit by Carole Nelson Douglas, and The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. It’s that time of year for reading multiple books at the same time!

I'm sitting at the dentist without a book. This sucks.

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver is book number 188 of the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die once I read it! I’m on page 15 & have slipped my copy into my purse.

I’ve finished Pete Rose: My Prison Without Bars with Rick Hill and it was very enlightening. It was published in 2004. I’m on Chapter 25 of Cat In a Hot Pink Pursuit by Carole Nelson Douglas. The weird parallel is that both Pete Rose and Carole Nelson Douglas are deceased and fairly recently too.
September 18, 2025 at 12:44 AM
We’ll see where I am on the calendar when all those books are done. If it’s October, I’ll read my two books from the monthly challenges and then Jane Slayre. That’s my weird horror book for the @bookriot.bsky.social Read Harder Challenge.

I've just started reading Cat in a Hot Pink Pursuit by Carole Nelson Douglas as an ebook with the hardback Pete Rose My Prison Without Bars with Rick Hill. After that, I'll read The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. Those last two books will finish The Storygraph's Genre Challenge 2025.

I’m caught up on the read one book a month reading challenges. I read Hiss and Tell by Rita Mae Brown for the Easy Reading Challenge 2025 and Murder On A School Night for the Beyond The Bookends Reading Challenge 2025.
September 7, 2025 at 11:45 PM
I am working on reading as many Perry Mason mysteries by Erle Stanley Gardner and completing the Midnight Louie series by Carole Nelson Douglas. I also want to clear out books from my house and get store credit at my neighborhood bookstore or just unload them at a little free library.
September 5, 2025 at 5:16 PM
I’m reading Murder On A School Night by Kate Heston right now to complete the September challenge for Beyond The Bookends 2025. I’m not sure what I’ll read after that.
September 5, 2025 at 5:09 PM
I’m fine! For the year 2025, I have read 90 books. I’m doing four reading challenges for the year: BookRiot Read Harder Challenge, The StoryGraph’s Genre Challenge, Easy Reading Challenge and Beyond the Bookends Reading Challenge. I have been reading for pleasure and non-timed challenges too.

I also on @librarything.com have reviewed Pride and Pemberley by @deegarretson.bsky.social which I found to be a delightful read. I got a copy through the @librarything.com Early Reviewer Program.

I’ve read seven books since I finished Random In Death by J.D. Robb. The one I’m quite proud of is The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. This is a list book for 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die. This makes 187 books that I have read on the list.

I loved We Three Queens by @authorrhysbowen.bsky.social and I adore Georgie as one of my favorite characters. I just read and finished Random In Death by J.D. Robb which also has a favorite character Eve Dallas. Two different women in vastly different time periods.
June 27, 2025 at 12:45 AM
I just finished Lethal Prey by @johnsandford.bsky.social and now I'm reading We Three Queens by @authorrhysbowen.bsky.social. We'll see what I read after that.

I read If We Were A Movie by @zakiyanjamal.bsky.social for the challenge “Read A Genre Blending Book” for the @bookriot.bsky.social Read Harder Challenge 2025. It blends romance and mystery.

I’m on vacation all next week so I hope I read a pile of books. I want to finish Murder In Williamstown, which I am reading for enjoyment, and move on to one of my packed titles. A couple of them are listed on reading challenges but I want to read mostly for pure enjoyment.
June 20, 2025 at 8:50 PM
I’m so sad right now #booksky. I just found out that Kerry Greenwood died earlier this year and her series of Phryne Fisher was one of my favorites. I’m reading Murder in Williamstown and hopefully there’s one more after that.

Hello #booksky! I have read three books after Oona Out of Order. I read If We Were A Movie by @zakiyanjamal.bsky.social for the @bookriot.bsky.social Reading Challenge 2025. I read the other two books for pure enjoyment. Rhys Bowen & J.D. Robb have lovely series.
