During the 2023 TV/Theatrical strike, I went to Paramount one day to picket & Billy Crystal was also marching that day. Didn't recognize him because he was wearing a hat & sunglasses but he also provided free ice cream from an ice cream truck across the street which was great for a hot August day.

Catching a train from Bristol Temple Meads, but they shifted the service along the platform because a scene from THE OUTLAWS was being shot where it would usually come in. The scene featured Christopher Walken and Stephen Merchant, but my train came before they shot it so I didn't see either of 'em.

I'll do another one that's more relevant to VO with some background. Around the beginning of 2024, one of my goals was to try & pick up another regional rep since the more reps you have, the higher the volume of auditions in your inbox will be so I looked at a few markets & submitted materials.

Shared this before on other platforms but once had a math teacher in high school tell me I wouldn't be successful in VO. He lost all my respect after saying though thankfully, he got fired after I graduated while I'm happily still pursuing VO & all without any of his stupid geometry.

If I never get the chance again, while I will miss Alm, Soren, and the Gatekeeper greatly, my memories playing in the Fire Emblem sandbox are happy. The fans have always been wonderful and Nintendo was always good to me. I look forward to the day that a SAG-AFTRA contract meets their needs ♥️

If actors want a tool to fight against AI Dubbing on Amazon's platform, we have to do the actual work.
SAG-AFTRA can't step in and fight for us.
We ARE the union.
If actors want a union Amazon Dubbing Agreement, we have to, at bare minimum, stop working for them non-union.

The producers pushing AI dubs are *absolutely* gonna try again. The tech will improve. It will be important for fans to make their voices heard when--not if--but *when* that happens.

This is a decision that can only happen when the people who founded the company lost sight of the reason they established this tier / how they themselves started. The whole reason that simulcasting+free ad-supported tiers were innovated in the first place was to deter people from pirating the shows!

Netflix acquiring WB is still shit, very much so, it’s super shitty, intolerably shitty, but it’s certainly less shit than Ellison n Paramount having it. So I’m looking at the smallest sliver of silver linings in this scenario. I just hope for the best for all employees in the middle of all this.

Been holding this in for a while but now that the news is out there, I'm gonna share how floored I am to be in a group like this.
One of them is Fate/Zero & much of that has to do with Kari Wahlgren's performance as Saber (everyone in that dub is so damn good though), Kari is one of the best & most instinctual actors in the industry (on top of being an incredible human) & she brought so much depth & nuance to Artoria.
