don’t love that I need this shirt freshly laundered every June since our constitution is apparently a google doc that only radical paid-for anti-American psychopaths have access to (and edit with weaponized faux-historical-illiteracy for profit)

MPR is getting the word of the work of The Academy of American Poets and Trust the Hours to even more people! I couldn’t be more thrilled about this interview. MPR!

(The audio listen is worth it—I read part of the poem and Catharine Richert is the best.)

I’m hiding in April’s Rochester Magazine! Find me at a local eatery or coffee-ry and read an amazing profile piece by a brilliant writer & friend. I’m incredibly grateful for the support, in these last weeks especially, as we approach “Trust the Hours” on April 26th.

Lavender Magazine interviewed some of our 🏳️‍🌈 artists and poets, and I spoke with them about the Trust the Hours exhibit (at the Chateau on April 26th).

I am so grateful they took the time and space for us! Poetry & art are resistance, y’all.

On Thursday, April 10th, I'll be reading poetry with CHS students at Rochester Public Library, sponsored by the MN Minnesota Humanities Center! I'd love if you'd join us as we celebrate poems from the Latino Poetry Anthology. (And you can win a copy of the book!)

we attended an immigrants' rights rally today, organized by Rochester's youth, who are planting seeds of resistance in depleted soil. most students who spoke today read poems they wrote or poems they love. always, always, poetry makes its way to the front of the line. no human is illegal.

I cried when I found out Rattle picked my poem for Poets Respond this week—it’s about presidents and space, two of my favorite things—and while all this poetry mess is subjective, you never know if you do right by what you love. I’m beyond grateful.
