As of 6:01 a.m., the Iowa Senate has adjourned sine die. One more appropriations bill needs to run in the House and then #ialegis lawmakers will officially put a bow on the 2025 session.

Protestors have once again gathered at the Iowa State Capitol, opposing legislation removing Gender Identity from the Iowa Civil Rights code. State senators are technically in caucus, but a number of them are watching on.

Bird’s eye view this morning inside the Iowa Senate chambers. They’re expected to vote on Senate File 418, which would remove gender identity from the state’s Civil Rights code. A party line vote is expected in the Senate, but crazier things have happened.
