In the world of ChatGPT assisted responses to applications. Quick tip: remember to copy the answer and not your prompt.

More from the files of best ChatGPT responses to an application question:

Q: Why do you want to work for Nutrient?

A: Because I’m passionate about promoting health and wellness, and I admire your commitment to quality and innovation in nutrition.

It’s incredible how noisy the job market to hire frontend engineers is right now. Maybe it’s LinkedIn. Posted a job ad and 160 applicants applied in less than 2 hours to a hybrid job in Raleigh, NC. Less than 10% were in NC. 80% answered the applicant questions with the same ChatGPT response.

Explaining to my 8 year old son, what Nazism is, what WW2 was, what Sieg Heil salute is because he knows who Elon Musk is and wonders what his parents are talking about was nuts. I think I unintentionally ended it with "your generation might really look back on us not so fondly."

Pro Tip: Don't use ChatGPT to apply to a job you really want. It's obvious you used it and not in a good way.

One of the major issues I see crop up in documents is the inability to have any source of record. Like who was the OG author, who edited what, when did x happen, oops we converted it and all this is gone. I’m not sure how AI solves this problem and if anything makes it worse.

I’m always surprised when a business makes a short term customer profitability decision that guarantees a lower to negative long term customer profitability outcome. It literally baffles me every time it happens.

We really appreciate the support and feedback from all of our customers. While our primary mission is centered on people and documents, we love that a side effect of what we do has a direct positive impact on climate change.
🌱 Growth and gratitude — the two words that define this year for us at Nutrient.

To celebrate incredible milestones we’ve reached together, we’ve partnered with One Tree Planted to plant a tree on behalf of each of our customers as this year's annual gift.

“The connection between capability improvements and AI’s social or economic impacts is extremely weak. The bottlenecks for impact are the pace of product development and the rate of adoption, not AI capabilities.”

We’ve always had a core value at @nutrientdocs.bsky.social that “it’s always about people.” I’ve said more times than I can remember that every business is a people business.

Not sure the current commentary around AI thinks this will still be true. I couldn’t disagree more.

So are we at peak AI hype now that openAI released a $200/month tier, $PLTR is running up 6% at a 380 P/E, or are we really a few years away from complete disruption of capitalism fueled by human labor?

Has to be one of the most ironic situations when your legacy CEO warns you in his autobiography "only the paranoid survive" and the future company doesn't take his advice.

Great read by @gruber.foo as always - daringfireball.net/2024/12/andy...
Andy Grove Was Right
Grove’s words don’t read merely as advice — they read today as a postmortem for what happed to Intel over the last 20 years.

Urgency definitely matters. Leaders need to push their teams to move with purpose and pace. But here’s the key: urgency without trust, purpose, and recognition leads to burnout, not brilliance.

The Power of Urgency: Why It’s Not Just About Pushing, But the Purpose Behind It
After Frank Slootman's, CEO of Snowflake, podcast appearance on No Priors, the quote above appeared everywhere on X. I'll be honest that what he shared hits hard with its raw truth.

It's monitor upgrading time. I've been using a 38" LG ultrawide for like 5 years now at home. Here's what I'm considering -

5k 40" LG 40WP95C-W UltraWide
Dell 40" UltraSharp U4025QW UltraWide
2x 27" Apple Studio Display Nano-Texture
32" Apple Pro Display XDR

Often times technology hype runs rampant and you realize people forget their customer's problems. While I am a huge believer that AI is disrupting software and will continue to moving forward with the coming rise of AI Agents.

So I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new MacBook Pro M4 Max upgrading from my M1 Max. Other than starting over on my sticker game, why shouldn't I do this?
