Tramp was my first novel. It was a story about sex, and drugs, and poetry. The sort of thing every writer has to get out of their system before they can write anything worth a damned. Isaiah Jones vs the Sea is about the right of return. A 16-year-old boy and his dog sail from Galveston to Ghana.
