I read. I write. I have cats. I eat too much. Occasionally I gad about town frolicking & cavorting, what with the shenanigans and the goings on. Cisgender (He/Him).

Oh wow, Starfleet Academy gives us a much darker action episode this time around and nails it! This show is firing on all cylinders.

Folks, I need your help. I am short about $500 to pay rent this month. I lost 6 days of work due to the winter storm here. I haven’t been able to catch up. If you can, please follow the link my bio and click the donate button. I know it’s tight everywhere so I appreciate anything you can give. 🙏🏻

Outrage over the SB halftime show seems to be born out of the notion than a US event is only for English-speaking white people. But the US is full of different cultures, they’re all American too. Why shouldn’t we celebrate Latin-American culture one year, Chinese-American culture next year, etc.?

In non-calculus related news, I finished up my communications project this week, wrote a science news article based on a press release. It was from the University of Zurich, a study on Uranus and Neptune that suggests a possibility that they have more rocky cores than we have previously thought.

Okay, I finished my final review, practice test retake and I did pretty well! So I’m fairly confident I’m ready for the test. Now I’m taking a much needed break!
February 9, 2026 at 9:27 PM
Well, the good news is after a review and retaking my second practice test I did a lot better. I still missed a couple of questions, but I know what I did wrong and it turns out it was just small mathematical errors, the type I am prone to sadly. So on to the next practice test, I feel a lot better.

Did not do well on my 2nd calc practice test. Which means I have to review the ones I missed before I take the 3rd test. I don’t have time to take it again and raise the grade. 😕

Well I wish I’d gotten to watch the halftime show. It looks like it was a lot of fun. Also, it doesn’t look anything like calculus, which right now sounds like heaven to me.

Ok I did much better on my 2nd try after reviewing. But I still have 2 more practice tests to finish tonight. Ugh. Calculus suckssss.
February 8, 2026 at 11:34 PM
I have discovered something distressing. I went to do a practice test for my calc exam due tomorrow and I find that my pitiful old brain is not retaining my lessons. I’ve done every exercise for 2 weeks and I can’t remember how to do any of the stuff from last week. This is SUB OPTIMAL.

So apparently Neil Gaiman crawled out from under a rock today and…no. No no no, we won’t be entertaining any nonsense from that individual now or ever.

Just fyi, scaring an animal, even a fish in a tank, is animal abuse and I will report it. I encourage you to do the same.

I’m really trying to watch 11/22/63 but the MC being an absolute idiot non-stop is really making it hard.

Someone is STILL trying to change my Instagram/Threads password (after somehow getting my original and 2nd accounts suspended and deleted) on a regular basis. I get 3 emails in a row notifying me, usually once a week.
