Habs, Chiefs and Michigan Wolverines.
Monty and Dobes both need to prove to MSL and HuGo they can perform and win without the pressure of knowing Fowler is there to replace them.

If they can’t, he’s back, and someone is gone.

Don’t be surprised Fowler is back up at some point.
January 16, 2026 at 10:09 PM
Like anything else he didn’t earn but wants the recognition
January 16, 2026 at 10:08 PM
Two of the three at least get it right time to time.

1 - Kypreos
2 - Laraque
3 - Pagnotta

Who’s panning?

At 24 he’s still young, do I see him as top line? No.

2-3 line player, sure.

Not the player I’m seeking, as I would want size and skill for 6-9 forwards on line 2 and 3.

We have lots coming still, and we aren’t desperate to add, or appease a market/media.

Lafrenière didn’t pan out in NY. He showed glimpses in the playoffs, but he’s not a fit there.

Here? Maybe. With so many good players the pressure isn’t on him like it was Drouin. But, what’s the price?
January 16, 2026 at 9:52 PM
Drury is a hot mess and not the man for the job.
January 16, 2026 at 9:50 PM
He needs his head up in the corner, Doan saw the opening.
January 16, 2026 at 12:51 AM
Fowler needs to work on the blocker side.
January 16, 2026 at 12:48 AM
100%

That’s what’s needed, and if we have learned anything under this management, they have that and don’t make decisions off the cuff.

I agree Denis, Markov looked like his career was over, and in fact I believe the time off fixed his ailments and any other injuries he may have had.

You can’t teach 6’4”, and he has skill and is very young.

It happens. Everyone hits a rut or has some bad bounces…unless your name is McKinnon or McDavid.

They’ll bounce back.

Pride is alway there, but the team needs to have the tough conversation with Gally. If he wants to stay, he may need to be in/out of the lineup for team success.

If he can’t accept that role, I’m sure they would try to accommodate him in a move.
January 15, 2026 at 12:51 AM
Laine would have to comeback for 1/2 what he is signed at, and I don’t think his game makes our top 6 due to his skating, and his defensive weaknesses don’t address the bottom 6.

I like Laine, but he can’t be a PP specialist on the 2nd unit.
January 15, 2026 at 12:43 AM
They committed to him, trades are coming.
January 15, 2026 at 12:37 AM
GoFund this hero!
January 15, 2026 at 12:17 AM
Dach will be getting a chance on the wing, centre isn’t an option.
January 15, 2026 at 12:15 AM
They are both injury prone. Dach being an RFA and cheaper contract has a longer leash of getting an opportunity.
January 15, 2026 at 12:09 AM
Texier wasn’t signed to be the 1st solution. He’s part of the greater solution.
January 15, 2026 at 12:06 AM
Love the player, hope he can stay healthy and get his confidence and be the player he can be.
January 14, 2026 at 10:56 PM
100% agree!
January 14, 2026 at 10:35 PM
Took a couple days to come up with a plan…
January 14, 2026 at 10:29 PM
He seems like a bigger and versatile Paul Byron type.
January 14, 2026 at 10:27 PM
That’s crazy.
