Now that I can plot larger I'm looking for a piece to be my first edition of 18"x24" prints. Here are some plots from this week, a mix of old files and new pens.

My first 18"x24" plot in the garage with the new ArtFrame 2436. I can go twice as big once I get some paper and build a flat file to store all these large prints.

Nov '25 Print Set

Normally for my monthly print set I have to plot a bunch of 5"x7" designs to find ones I like. Lately I'm only setting up 11"x15" files so I cropped out 3 sections of a recent print (pic 2) to make the set.

October ' 25 print set. Took some arcs, took some curves, and pushed and pulled them into these flowing calligraphic shapes. I love the Uniball UM-153's and get enough tones out of my go-to red, blue, gold, and black that I doubt I'll ever get tired of them.

If you mention pencils to most pen plotters they'd be happy to push you out of a moving car at high speed. The way the point degrades through a plot make it a media that I really enjoy working with.

I rewatched The Acolyte, the writing isn't the best and that Bazil character still makes zero sense to me but I still think that there was potential and it deserved another season.

I use the red, blue, and black Uniball Signo UM-153 pens a lot. They are the only colors I can find refills for, which saves me from tossing the plastic shells. The 1.0mm tip really packs the ink in.

All prints plotted from the same source file with 4 layers of overlapping lines. One made with pens, one with brushes, and one mix. Stacking some paper underneath let the marks just skirt over the paper, yielding unpredictable results.

Taking a break from all that's going on to share this month's print set. I worked with a much lighter weight paper than usual which put limits on how thick you could apply the pen ink. Still lots of layers and the gesso pulls up layers from the bottom.

For me a print can be made from any repeatable mark making process. In addition to pen plotting my prints usually include manual media application techniques like stencils.
