I write software, play guitar, coach team members, and love life.
@jimowczarski.bsky.social I recall a story about a Bucks player who used to shout something like "Chicken Nuggets!" when they got an and-one call. Does that ring a bell? If so, do you know who it was? It's driving my nuts! Thanks!

@jumosq.bsky.social @andyhermannfl.bsky.social @aaronnagler.bsky.social I'm thinking the Packers may not be completing that new Quay Walker contract this season, after all.

This is going to become more of a thing in software engineering, as generative tooling moves the language of code into less formal syntax. Sounding like one knows the fundamentals of software design is not the same as applying those fundamentals.
...whereas if a field is largely done in plain language, the assumption is that it is easy, that it requires no special skills.

"Anyone," they assert, "can be a historian(/classicist/art historian/etc/etc)" with no real training. The insight of the not-even-amateur valued with the expert. 8/

If you enjoy fantasy, sci-fi, or horror novels, short stories, and RPG stuff, check out Moe Lane's stuff. moelane.com/2025/06/17/1... There are cheap and free options to get a sense of his style.

I really like the Fermi Resolution setting, where today's stuff becomes the future's lost knowledge.

@paulshardware.bsky.social Enjoy your channel! This point seemed odd to me.

In both the most recent Tech News and the GPU pricing update, you looked at pricing on PCPartPicker and said that no increase in GPU manufacturing has manifested. But that pricing is largely third party sellers on Amazon.

@buildzoid.bsky.social Curious if you have thoughts on the Nitro+ from Sapphire and their use of the high power connector on a sub 350 watt card. Hoping you can get some pcb images to dive into at some point. I've really enjoyed your previous breakdowns of the connector and usage. Thanks!

@creative-assembly.com I'm having an issue with a game (TW: Warhammer) saying I don't have any of the DLC installed for my save game. Steam says the DLC is installed. I also can't log into my account page via Steam. Any guidance?

Possible reasons:

* They don't know which IT person to ask.
* They don't know which IT department to ask (ESPN? Disney?)
* There's a mandatory security review required. That meeting is bi-weekly.
* They asked the right dept and person, but it's not the top priority today. Or tomorrow. Next week?
I'm sure there's a reason for this, but how come none of these companies can get their IT people to do the domain verification for them

The refs haven't been the story in this #NFL game tonight. That's nice to see.

Hope it stays that way!
