Sounds like a cult.

Some character designs just hit me the right way, haha.

My brain cells activate when I see this man.

The problem is, I can go through a human generated PR and wonder the same shit lol. Junior devs tend to leave quite a surface.

Also... a human can go back later, clean it up, remove any sort of signs of generated output, then submit a PR.

One of the biggest issues w/ trying to identify AI code is the fact that coding in general lacks nuance of written or spoken language. There can be some syntactic style differences, but generally speaking it follows the same rules.

Also... people just lie, yanno? You can just strip identifiers out.
February 10, 2026 at 5:04 PM
Not that it's lazy, but since code doesn't have the typical signs of language nuance like grammar, style. Syntax tends to be very direct and in my mind makes it harder to tell what is or is not AI contributed.

No way to excuse the code that was approved. So hopefully they'll be more discerning.

Since I'm at work I can only kinda briefly parse through this page, it looks like they've been removing instances they've found of AI contributions.

It's a tough nut though, especially when you're open source, since _anyone_ can make a PR, obfuscate their AI use, then commit. Gonna be real hard...
February 10, 2026 at 4:42 PM
I'm unfamiliar with their development process, but it seems that reporting of AI use is conflicting depending on who you ask. And considering this application started development back in 2021... AI wasn't used much back then, if at all for dev work.

I'd like real answers though.

One of my top hypno tropes is the absurdly tented undies... or the unrealistically perpendicular hard boner the hypno target has, pointed outward from their body.

The "revolt" project was started in 2021 when AI was literally even more shit than it is today. I don't know the details, but another commenter on these posts indicated that that got squashed.

Since it's European based, I assume that user data is not being mined or scraped. They have stricter privacy controls compared to US based companies.

(as an increasing skeptic of usa based software)
February 10, 2026 at 3:01 PM
Also... this is European, open source software. That's actually kinda meaningful.

If for some reason you wanna talk on STOAT... I'm jazz#4796.
I remember we were looking at Discord/Telegram replacements and what was "Revolt" is now "Stoat"?
February 10, 2026 at 2:50 PM
It's a PWA (web) and has native mobile app versions.
February 10, 2026 at 2:47 PM
Oh you're already there!
February 10, 2026 at 2:42 PM
Considering the application started development back in 2021 and is open source, maybe not?

I miss when AI was just ML.

But it only worked cause I was "jazzwolf" not... [REDACTED].

As a millennial queer, society sort-of dictated that I should bifurcate my life in two. Even in the 2000s you were harmed for being gay.

So I had my gay, queer, "other" identity... and then I had my everyday "straight" identity... for self preservation.

The internet let me explore my real self.
The reason I can comfortably portray myself as a dumbass werewolf himbo is cause I don't need to authenticate my identity to these providers.

Being largely anonymous on the internet is absolutely part of internet rights.
Stop trying to legislate away parent responsibility. My internet rights are being infringed by bad parenting.

No doubt the "think of the kids" is always cover for something else. Ban on encryption cause... surveilla... er... THINK OF THE KIDS.

I was a teen myself, a savvy teen who could get around limits and controls. I could lock down my parents computer systems before they could do anything about mine lol.

They're gonna explore themselves regardless, just don't make me an active participant, yanno?
