NUFC. Music. Art. Probably in that order.
Two months on and I’m still not sure about Woltemade. He’s got some nice touches but seems to play in slow motion.

Comes across as a good lad and has something unique to offer, hopefully Howe finds a way to bring the best out of him.
Well that is going to be huge problem because Woltemade is slow, weak, poor in the air, shirks challenges and is going to give the ball away cheaply a lot playing as a sole central striker.

The crowd will be on his back in no time.

If you are right, he was clearly a panic buy.

Was Villa our best (least worse) away performance in the PL this season?

If so, what did we do right in that game and what has changed since?

Going to be lots of finger pointing after today’s result, but there was always a chance #NUFC would struggle when Wissa got injured.

Without a centre forward who can run in behind attacking options become predictable, play gets condensed and the whole team comes under increased pressure.
Teams that can’t score goals always find themselves in and around the relegation zone.

We don’t know if he would refuse to play - he might, he might not. My guess is not playing for a whole season would do his head in.

If NW picks up a lengthy injury and we have no other striker NUFC will be in a relegation battle.

A might is far preferable to a can’t because they don’t exist.

28 premier league games to go.

First choice fullbacks close to a return.

Would expect Wissa to be available not long after the impending international break.

Few of our players can only get better and probably will.

#NUFC need to improve but it may be a tad early for predicting Armageddon.

Woltemade may want to think about getting some lessons from Shearer on the art of sticking your elbows / arse out - give the defenders clattering into the back of him something to be wary of.

Champions League observations.

Quite a lot of the clubs are championship standard at best.

Van de Ven’s goal wasn’t that good - more or less just ran in a straight line.

The coefficient thing is a form of cheating.

The amount of adverts in podcasts is creeping up.

The wet wipes one on @podonthetyne.bsky.social is particularly annoying as it is presumably paid for by a company that pumps raw sewage into our rivers.

Think I preferred it when podcasts were less polished but created by passionate ‘amateurs’.

There is a strong correlation between wages and on field performance.

Post Ashley the #NUFC wage bill has grown to the eighth highest in the PL.

On that metric Howe has over achieved and those who want him gone should be careful what they wish for.

That was abysmal and the table doesn’t lie after ten games.

#NUFC need to sort themselves sharpish but I fear things won’t change much until Wissa is up and running.

The #NUFC adidas kits have been very disappointing. Apart from the retro hoops one they’ve all been a bit boring and / or a mishmash of design elements.

Stripes on the back, proper collar, no weird side panels - it’s not hard.

Dan Burn’s passing is definitely getting better.

Seems to be have been working on his tricky winger skills too.

He may not be the world’s best left back and look a like ungainly at times, but his commitment to the cause is beyond reproach.

Fabian Schär, more than a defender.

Extending his contract should be high on Ross Wilson’s to do list.

Still keen to see the BFG in a front two and may be how we go when Wissa is fit.

Perhaps the LC is a chance to experiment a little?

Brentford game.

45 minutes (two goals + one substitute due to injury) generates 3 mins of added time.

3 mins of added time (nothing) somehow generates 1 and half minutes of added time.

The PGMOL are just making up the rules as they go along.
October 25, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Players that go down with an injury just off the pitch, then roll back on so the game has to be stopped, should be shown a red card.
October 23, 2025 at 9:07 PM
See Isak going on strike is increasing being talked about like he was injured.

Slot saying he missed three months is also bullshit. He was training as normal until the Celtic game (19/07) and signed for LFC 01/09.

That’s 44 days, during which he was training alone / in Spain.

Ref was very strange tonight.

This trend of match officials just making it up as they go along needs to be given more attention by the media

Still haven’t seen a repeat of a foul being given for an attacking player being too close to the wall at a free kick (Eze’s disallowed goal for CPFC)

West Ham have the air of team heading for the drop.

Obviously not playing well, but there is that aura of despondency around the whole club that usually ends in relegation.

Ross Wilson’s decision?

Be a big call to make after being in post little more than a week.

Always surprised some think luck has no role in football outcomes - that all negatives can avoided by making the right decisions

Take seeing out a game. Shutting up shop invites pressure. Going for it leaves space

There isn’t a right and wrong choice, the outcome is more luck than judgement
