A US midwesterner temporarily trapped in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a fountain pen enthusiast and a collector of hand-made wands. I love reading and writing, and the beauty of the outdoors. I'm also a musician (piano) and a lover of good foods and wines.
This is quite a long work, but well worth watching with this group of performers. The voices are like fragments of heaven here on earth. I love the first chorus, "Herr, unser Herr" or "Lord, our Ruler". I'm not terribly religious, but Bach truly hit a new level of mastery with this work.
