The MLSPA has released their latest salary update, and we've got a full picture of how teams allocate their salary budget.

Inter Miami spend a whopping 72% of their budget on their three DPs, who earn more than every other MLS club's entire roster combined.

Points per dollar spent. Poor Arthur has his team looking like the Vouyer Probe.
We can also partially gauge how efficient teams are at spending. Supporters' Shield winners Philadelphia Union spent just $203k per point and $235k per goal scored. Contrast that with Atlanta United, who dropped $1.017 million per point and $750k per goal.

I am going to have a talk with the social media manager about this.

Hello, my Supporters Shield winning Philadelphia Union are finally starting the Audi: MLS Cup Playoffs round one game one against Chicago Fire in beautiful Chester. After all the hype videos and all the prep rallies, the real season begins. Hopefully, this will be different than 2020. 6:00 on FS1

A Saturday big read...

Jay Sugarman wants the Union to get more respect, and knows winning MLS Cup will make that happen.

The biggest prize "feels like the one thing we haven’t quite gotten our hands on,” he says.

And he knows the pressure there is to get it:

Hello, my Supporters Shield winning Philadelphia Union are in the Queen City to take on Charlotte FC. I don't remember anything that's happened in the last two weeks. I assumed the Phils are doing well. One last tune-up before the playoffs at 6:00 on AppleTV with MLS Pass.
