If you are concerned, as I am, about the flagrant violations of the rule of law and the Pam Bondi-led reshaping of the Department of Justice into a hit squad for the president, please read this article. (gift link below)

I am so very tired of articles that are written with AI help. The amateurish structure of the content and the cookie-cutter headlines is just so friggin' annoying. We need a return of true creatives instead of wanna-be copycats flooding our news and article feeds with slop.

Configuration systems that support imperative behaviour and/or templating are fundamentally broken.

Change my mind.

I'm so tired of AI slop in my #Medium article stream. 😞 It's just a never-ending battle reporting "authors" like "latency gambler", "thread whisperer", "Observability Guy" for being AI-generated garbage.

@medium.com if you see an "author" publish ten articles in an hour, you much know it's AI slop.

Fantastic deep look at the grift involved in Democratic campaign fundraising.
The annoying spam texts destroying the Democratic brand:

$678M raised through those spam tactics

$282M to one consulting firm: Mothership Strategies.

$11M to actual campaigns (1.6%)

The party isn’t just treating donors like marks—it’s being fleeced itself yet continues to back Mothership.
The Mothership Vortex: An Investigation Into the Firm at the Heart of the Democratic Spam Machine
How a single consulting firm extracted $282 million from a network of spam PACs while delivering just $11 million to actual campaigns.

Kubernetes client-go Config loading library is one of the most convoluted and over abstracted pieces of code I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

Nothing wrong with expecting people to pick themselves up by their bootstraps, until you realize that some people have no boots.

Gentle reminder, #GenerativeAI will happily display amazing levels of confidence even when it has absolutely no idea what it's talking about. (note: this was #ChatGPT #4o model this morning)

I find it particularly offensive that a President whose eponymous company has failed to pay contractors, declared bankruptcy multiple times and been convicted of financial crimes is spearheading an effort to extract money from student loan borrowers.

My absolute favorite part of this real estate listing in downtown #Ljubljana is the "Type" field. The next time we list our property for sale in the US, I'm going to insist on "Type: Mid-century Hobbit Home".

There are two types of people in this world. People who think others want to hear what they are talking about loudly on their phone. And everyone else.
