My mother got rid of DOZENS of pets (mostly cats, some dogs) throughout my childhood for frivolous reasons (read: she got bored of them/didn’t want them anymore) and I will never forgive her for that. Of all the terrible things she did, that is way the fuck up there.

I can’t imagine anything worse than being a parent and having to get rid of (or worse, euthanize) a dog because it attacked my child.
