I mean… I think “Hegseth leaked top secret info about a military operation to a Signal group that included a reporter” defines his first six months, but that’s just me.
Suspicions about leaks and a mistrust of senior military officers have defined much of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s first six months on the job. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/26/u...

I watched as Republicans lied about Biden during North Carolina’s recovery efforts, and now, they have the audacity to be mad that we’re telling the TRUTH?!

They defunded the NOAA and the National Weather Service after everyone told them how bad of an idea that was

They MUST be called out!

Trump to UAE president: "We have a term 'groceries.' It's an old term but it means basically what you're buying, food, it's a pretty accurate term but it's an old fashioned sound but groceries are down."

🚨We gotta call bullshit: the SAVE Act makes it harder for rural Americans to vote.

Some could face an 8-HOUR round trip just to register to vote. It's voter suppression, plain and simple.

Donald Trump, alone & unchecked, wrecked the world’s economy. And the Congressional Republicans handed him the unique power to do it. They could take it back and fix this TODAY if they had a spine.

The same people who insist you can’t raise wages or it’ll wildly drive up prices are now trying to tell you that tariffs don’t raise prices.

From an operational security perspective, this is the highest level of fuckup imaginable. These people cannot keep America safe.
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

They don’t even know what is or isn’t the government. This is so stupid.
Today the US Administration incompetently tried to seize control of the Institute of Peace—an organization that is not part of the government, and over which it has no authority.

MUST-READ new report on Florida’s voucher scheme from @orlandosentinel

70% of voucher users were already in private school (as in other states)
70% of the state’s private students funded by taxpayers

The wealthiest bracket = most of the beneficiaries 👇

Please understand how powerful this makes China. “Oh your US aid stopped and you still need that thing? We’ll finance it! Oh, about those mineral rights leases coming up…”
Marco Rubio on day 1 as secretary of state oversaw a halt to all foreign aid money and met with Asian diplomats. Trump's executive order said Rubio would set guidelines for reassessing foreign aid. Programs around the world are already affected. Story: www.nytimes.com/2025/01/21/u...

Beltran was an interesting lawmaker. Super conservative, but he bucked leadership several times. His disdain for “how things are done” was obvious by the end.
Ex-lawmaker says he quit because of an oppressive and dictatorial atmosphere in the #Florida Legislature, where all legislative initiatives and even members’ votes are tightly controlled by top leaders in the House and Senate. floridatrident.org/do-florida-l... via @floridatrident.bsky.social
