The Nan-Te'gah are an alien species that can fly for short distances, depending on their fitness and experience. Most of them are great swimmers too. Athletic individuals can even switch between swimming and flying quite easily.

I said I would do at least one lady bird this month for #birbfest and this lovely Andean cock-of-the-rock (although that is an objectively funny name) was a great candidate for that. The male of the species is ridiculously showy but the ladies have quite a look all their own. #BirbFest 2026
