Maniacal Spurs supporter. Also follow Valencia, St. Pauli, Milan, & Inter Miami because football. Celtic, me lads. And last but not least, Knicks, Yanks, & Jets. Burnt out appellate lawyer. Once upon a time recording engineer and artist. RPGs. Deadhead.
Someone tell Chris Wittyngham that Reijnders is pronounced "RAIN-ders" not "RHINE-ders," and Jiménez is pronounced "hee-MAY-ness," not "Him-uh-nezz."

Stunning to see 2nd-tier American soccer on network TV.

Events have their own momentum, and quickly get beyond the grasp of those who would control them.

Someone tell the ESPN #ValenciaLeganés announcer that Javi Guerra's last name is pronounced "GAIR-uh," not "GWAIR-uh."

I'm not, and do not care about, Ange Out. I am 100% Levy Out because this poseur "lifelong Spurs supporter" is nothing but a filthy money-grubbing asshole who has never supported any of the managers he has hired. That said, no one can sack Levy but himself. Hey, Levy. Sack yourself.

What a day. Milan comes back from 1-2 and prevails 3-2. Spurs shit the bed 1-2 thanks in large part to Levy's unwillingness to invest. St. Pauli shows they belong in the top flight 3-0. Then Valencia shows 7-1, that like Spurs, it's not the manager but the owner.

I'm an avowed neutral here, but this Newcastle v Bournemouth match is showcasing some really good, entertaining football.

Werner casts a hoodoo over the pitch for #Spurs whenever he's on it. If I never see him play another minute, it'll be too soon.

Pool should be thanking their lucky stars they didn't lose 3-0 rather than manufacturing a "controversy" re: whether Bergvall should have been on the pitch when he scored.
January 9, 2025 at 1:16 AM
@paramountplus.bsky.social Get Mike Grella off the air. He's a terrible pundit, an aggressively unpleasant person, and grossly biased against #Spurs.

Why doesn't he talk about Bergvall clearly not deserving that first yellow card? Because he's a very bad and biased pundit.

I am pleased to announce that AC Milan is the winner of the Serie A contest for my affections. The combination of Pulisic, PUMA, and new manager Conceição has proven irresistible, despite my Spurs-based aversion to anything clothed in red. Andiamo Rossoneri!

Highly recommended read on football grounds. The nexus between football and architecture is not an unusual one. Many baseball fans love baseball stadia. And many rail fans love rail stations.

In an astonishing bit of foreshadowing, Handel originally entitled the second movement of The Messiah "Everybody Shall Be Exhausted" but changed it to "Exalted" at the last minute.

What I find interesting is how my fellow Yanks became Spurs fans. I chose Spurs because my father's family emigrated from Westmill, Hertfordshire almost exactly 400 years ago, and most people in Herts support Spurs due to the area's proximity to North London. #COYS

I think we saw more of Manor Solomon at the start of last season than we've seen of Wilson Odobert at the start of this one. I would've personally preferred spending more ££ and pursuing Pedro Neto instead of Odobert, but ironically everyone said Neto was too injury prone. #COYS
