Much as I would not dare to predict the consequences of this war, I do think we can summarize it thusly so far:

A smart and evil man manipulated a stupid and evil man into a war against a fanatical and evil regime.

It would have been great if some of the renewable-positive bills passed. But this at least gives renewables a chance to work their low-cost & rapid-deployment magic.

Lawmakers passed bills this session to boost the state power grid but failed to limit renewables
With demand expected to soar, the Legislature passed bills aimed at boosting supply and making the grid more reliable. Bills to impose more regulations on renewables died.

“Constitutional Crisis”
It is laughable how legal experts have repeatedly used words like “approaching”, “almost”, “close to”…
We were in crisis on 1/6/2020.
We are beyond crisis. The Supreme Court killed it when it ruled that the President is above the law.

The Constitutional Crisis Is Here
Trump’s administration is only pretending to comply with the Supreme Court on the matter of a Maryland man it deported erroneously.

Trump can’t be impeached. He owns the Republican Congress. He dominates the Supreme Court. He has corrupted the Justice Department including the FBI.

Patriotic Americans are asking what they can do to stop the destruction of our country.

There is one thing we can do. Kick him in his billionaires.

Many of my friends have expressed skepticism about the value of protest. I’ve been skeptical too because the results, if any, are usually incremental. Here’s one piece if the puzzle.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)'s climate and clean energy provisions have led to 330+ funded projects.

These projects have created a tremendous amount of investments and manufacturing jobs, especially in districts represented by Republican members of Congress #CCLforIRA

The problem with monopolies. They can do whatever Trump wants and we can't do a thing about it. This is Orwellian.

But as far as I'm concerned, Denali will remain Denali, and the Gulf of Mexico will remain the Gulf of Mexico.

@markmarrara.bsky.social Welcome Mark!

I’ll be curious to hear what you think about BlueSky. It’s no FB - both good and bad. 👎🏻: UI, I don’t get their idea of groups, fewer friends, 300 character limit. 👍🏼: no ads yet, doesn’t steal my attention, better quality info, it doesn’t feed the Zuck
