The Spring to Summer is my selfish season dammit! 😉 Sorry that I haven’t been very present on here or sent out some RAKs offered just yet. Patio, bird feeders, lawn, flowers, dog duty from the winter, etc. Besides work, I have my priorities.

Just like acquiring a Clemente & Nolan RC, that I wanted as a kid, my current ambition was to finally build a Technics stereo system. I collect tapes, records, CDs, etc. But they always kind of stood alone. Bring them together, I say!! The build is on. CD, turntable, and proper speakers en route.

I’m going to try and reboot a “Random Autographs in the House (RAITH)” thread every couple of days. Feel free to share some of yours. First entry, Tom Cook, animator of some of our favorite cartoons from the 80’s including the MOTU series’ and the goofy Godzilla. Very enjoyable guy to meet.

I think I am going to finally deactivate my Xitter this weekend. I really wanted to try to retain many of the relationships, but (like when I broke from Fakebook), it was obvious that people didn’t recognize that I was leaving. We need a collector social media platform. Anyone know a guy? 😁

For everyone concerned about the state of the game with the introduction of the torpedo bats, remember that stickum was once legal in the NFL and NHL goalie pad were once allowed to be much larger. I expect a correction, but I feel it will only happen after a major record falls.

I sold a couple of certified autographs on the bay a few weeks ago. It turns out that the shipping address was to the MLB Hall of Fame. They sent me a thank you postcard. Crazy that part of my collection is now sitting in the HOF.

I’m finding it more exciting to purchase junk wax boxes over current products these days. Shipping prices are awful (and could get worse) but there’s something about ripping a box from your teen years, where you actually had a job but were learning to manage your money. 😉

In the vain of the “tape traders” era, I bought a stack of classic pro wrestling recordings on DVD. So, that’s going to be my entertainment until spring is fully here.
