What is the actual endgame for a shutdown? Say Dems actually extract enough pain to get republicans to strip or pull back funding, ICE will still exist. What would stop Vought and the admin from just ignoring the new funding bill or moving money from elsewhere?

Tried to leave a voicemail with your office @murray.senate.gov but it was full. Please vote NO on the proposed CR & urge your fellow Dems to vote NO! This deal is horrid and fixes nothing. As a fed worker I’m sacrificing my paycheck the least you and your fellow senators can do is continue to fight.
