bumblebee inspired monster hunter design

a digital drawing of a fan-made bird wyvern design for monster hunter, its main design inspiration being tfa bumblebee. its head is considerably feline-looking. it is covered in large, yellow, disc-shaped plates and ridges along its back, shoulders and limbs and has sharply pointed ears protruding from its head like horns. its claws are huge and sharp, made to resemble bumblebee's stingers. the hallux claws on each hindleg are long and sharp and protrude out behind it like spurs. further notes on the previous design. a coloured drawing showcases the bird wyvern in an enraged state, its yellow plates having lifted and split apart enough to reveal glowing blue regions between each one. the plates themselves have turned red around the edges and softened from heat as they release it to regulate the temperature from the electricity being generated beneath them. the stinger claws have fitted together into one large, hooked, savage-looking talon that crackles with electricity now. a second sketch off to the side shows the same creature looking exhausted, arms drooping beneath it and smoke or steam emitting from between the gaps in its plates, having burnt itself out. if any of these plates were to be damaged or break, it would burn out more frequently.
