Irreplaceables, illustrated by me and written by Juha Kauppinen, tells how Macrotermes michaelseni termites shape the Okavango Delta. Their mounds form islands and as colonies rebuild, the landscape evolves. 150 000 islands owe much to these tiny ecosystem engineers. #SciArt
