I’m excited to announce that my 4th album Anoa is now released. It’s a nine-track exploration of light. The album is published by Synphaera through its sublabel Pénte, which focuses on more avant-garde ambient. Anoa is my 1st release on this label, with more to come.

While thinking about the energy cost of compute, I happened to be looking at a papaya tree. It’s a solution to a problem.

Long-term compute could embed a problem in a seed, letting growth yield the solution as structure.

Imagine tending the Garden of Computation.

It suddenly occurred to me that you don't need order to live. There is no pattern to follow and the pattern itself doesn't even exist: I am born.

My mother told me that I kicked a lot in the womb. Sometimes she could get hold of my heel.

The experience may have inspired the mythic episode of Achilles, in which his mother dips him into the protective waters of the River Styx while holding him by the heel. That part is exposed and vulnerable.

Historic moment: a man kicks himself in the balls.

An employee at a Chinese robotics lab uses an Xsens Link mocap suit to control a Unitree G1 robot.

In the end it looks as if the robot is mocking the man’s experience by imitating it, even bending over as if laughing.

Careful with your ruler. It can be a portal to another dimension.

“To reduce the uncertainty of a measurement, we need a measuring device that has less uncertainty of its own and is therefore packed with more particles.”

I might share more photos from when I lived there. I shot exclusively in B&W with my Canon AE-1 and a 50 mm lens, mostly on Kodak T-Max 400.
