There hasn’t been much commentary of the lifting of sanctions on the Belarusian airline — in theory in return for the prisoners that were released — which we should all be clear is just a way to launder spare parts into Russia to help their own failing planes and industries.

On September 11,2025,it became known that the USА lifted sanctions on Belavia,the Belarusian state-owned airline
This opens the way for Russian aviation to rather easily obtain the spare parts needed to service its airfleet -both civilian and military -since many of those parts are dual-use
