Why is it that wages in social care and early years are so low? Because we don't value caring imo, we see it as 'women's work'.
Another interesting point to note is that government statistics show that 77% of health and social care workers are women. The % even higher in early years. Worth thinking about that in relation to lots of aspects of this discussion and also the issue of low wages. 😒
