Seriously, why is there almost no media coverage of the ongoing trial in Florida of the “golf course sniper” of Trump, Ryan Routh? Is it that who he is politically doesn’t fit the narrative? Makes no sense.

When The Carter Center began leading the international campaign to eradicate Guinea worm disease in 1986, there were an estimated 3.5 million cases in at least 21 countries in Africa and Asia. Today, that number has been reduced by more than 99.99%. In 2024 so far there have been 7 cases.

I kept changing my mind which Carter cartoon i should go with. Here's all three.

Arguably one of Jimmy Carter's greatest achievement is bringing the world to the brink of eradicating the Guinea Worm.

From 3.5m cases a year in the 80s to less than 15 the last few years. It's an astounding public health achievement.

Thank you, President Carter for a life well-lived.

You were always an example of the best of us.
