By using AI, the EHRC has utterly destroyed any glimmer of hope that they would take people seriously. Of course, expecting them to read 50,000 responses in a few weeks would be unreasonable, which is why they should have allowed more time. It's been a farce from start to finish. Shameful.

This will probably get lost in the news today, but a FOI request just confirmed that the EHRC produced no documents in the last 5 months on what prompts it would use to review the Code of Practice submissions.

It's friggin' amateur hour there.
Text reading: 3. if a generative AI programme is being used to assess the submissions, I would like to see any document produced by the EHRC between April 2025 and August 2025 that discusses what prompts and queries the EHRC will make of it to produce its summary of submissions. It's a great privilege to have been featured in @attitudemag.bsky.social for the September/October edition. I discussed 'Your Party' not being ready to call itself an alternative for LGBTQ+ people and how the Labour Party needs a new leader.
Jamie Strudwick - who will remain as co-chair of Pride in Labour until February following his resignation from this role and as a member of the Labour Party in early August - told Attitude before his resignation that while many people are leaving Labour for the new left party or the Greens, he doesn't see either of them as "a viable alternative just yet". Of Corbyn and Sultana, Strudwick says: "We know that they're both pro-trans, but until I personally see tangible evidence from them about what they'll do for the community I don't think they're necessarily a safe bet." "We're not seeing any appetite from the government to make those changes or to sit down with trans people to discuss these topics," says Strudwick. "I think we would see significant improvements with a new leader. I think Keir Starmer has caused far too much damage and he's eroded too much trust in the party. "To put it bluntly, it's time for a significant change within the Labour Party."

Ten years ago today, my mum died very suddenly from sepsis. A whole decade without her seems very strange. I was 17 when she died and I still remember that day very vividly. Anniversaries are always a bit tough.

After cancelling my Labour membership (and others, except Unite), I'm redirecting the money: £5/month to @goodlawproject.org and £5/month to @pscupdates.bsky.social. The money I gave to Labour now funds solidarity, justice, and inclusion instead of hate, division, and inaction.
