Fantastic morning up the cliffs. Picked up a Pallid swift first thing over eastern docks, Dover harbour for 5-10 mins before moving NE then a point blank Pallas’s warbler in Langdon hole . Edited pics on the blog later www.perdixbirding.com #rarebirdsuk #kentbirdng

Back from Scilly & going through images. A really fun year with some fantasitc birds and very few days without new arrivals. My own finds on st Agnes didn't get much beyond this Little Bunting on the 14th and a Short-toed lark on the 15th. Love place and the magic. #scillybirds #rarebirdsuk

Dark juvenile Honey Buzzard, Southforleand lighthouse this am flew paralell with the cliff top towards Dover at 9 am, 500 mipit, 10K Hirundines, 3 Swift, 4 Spotfly, 5 Whinchat. 00's of Chiffs etc #kentbirding

A last minute weekend in Tarifa,Sunday saw thousands of Raptors and took an unexpected turn when @beachyheadbirder.bsky.social and I found a Blue-cheeked bee eater.Initially heard calling,then some disbelief but picked up on wires.Thanks @ingloriousbustards.bsky.social ‘s group lending us a scope!

A little concentrated fall at Langdon hole this am: Pied Fly, Spot Fly, Common & Black Redstarts, 2 Whinchat, c35 Willow, 3 Sedge, 5 Reed, lots of Lesser Whitethroats, Golden Plover over W, Seemingly quiet elsewhere on the headland. #kentbirding

Another Honey buzzard arriving over Dover today. Light ESE winds, I saw this female come in over Dover harbour , flying north over the town and Colin Johnson photographed it over his house in temple Ewell 5 mins later #kentbirding

A fantastic morning on the patch, this crippling male Red backed shrike hopped out in front of me on fox hill down, Langdon cliffs. Later whilst watching it with a small crowd, a female Red foot came over low and continued North,picked up by Paul Holt. #kentbirding #ukrarebirds

A fantastic morning on the patch, this crippling male Red backed shrike hopped out in front of me on fox hill down, Langdon cliffs. Later whilst watching it with a small crowd, a female Red foot came over low and continued North,picked up by Paul Holt. #kentbirding #ukrarebirds
Red-rumped swallow SW over south foreland lighthouse at 09.45, picked it up calling but it didn’t hang around. 25 swallow, a Few swifts, tree pipit on the deck all else of note #kentbirding

A walk along the bottom of the cliffs rather than up tops this a’noon. 3 whimbrel, common sandpiper(less than annual)and a nice 2cy Caspian gull. Little else to mention recently on the headland beyond a Hawfinch y’day. #kentbirding

Langdon & South Foreland this am:Male Ring Ouzel, 12 willow warblers, fem common Redstart ,2 Black redstart, 2 tree pipit, yellow wag, 3 lesser whitethroat, 15 c whitethroat , 10 swallow. Y’day: Cattle egret, WTE crossbill other recent notables. #kentbirding

Another brief work trip to Jaipur,with a day off spent looking for wallcreepers,I must be too far south or too late as none to see but enjoyed Oriental HBs, Eastern black reds,white capped bunting,dusky crag martins, eastern RRS, 100’s of little swifts,Brown rock chat etc in 36c heat
