The fascist regime will constantly exert its will over you—both your thoughts and your actions. It will require obedience and outward displays of loyalty. People will be fired and silenced for being disloyal to the regime. Faced with those threats, most people will comply.

A list of the energy and climate programs affected by Trump’s funding freeze.

It goes so much further than “just” climate programs — it’s nuclear cleanup funding, oil and propane support for poor families, DHS post-disaster grants.

Good morning with good news: The world is on track to install nearly 600 GW of solar in 2024.

To put that solar tsunami in context, the world had installed a total of 760 GW of solar by 2020.

Global solar deployment will be up 29% in 2024 over 2023. Wow!

US power demand now projected to grow by 128 GW by 2029!

Last year, Grid Strategies broke the news that utilities and system operators had doubled their forecasts for electric demand growth from 2022 – a sudden jump driven by data centers and industrial load, among other factors.🧵 1/4

I spent days digging into the public statements of every single Trump Cabinet pick to see what they've said about climate change and it was a horrible process but I did it because Journalism Is Important and climate change is actually real so please click it I beg you heated.world/p/trumps-ent...
Trump's entire Cabinet misrepresents climate change
I analyzed the public statements of each nominee. It was awful. (Though Matt Gaetz was surprising?)

The United States’s political tumult has not changed the physics of climate change.

The climate story is only going to get bigger, and it’s journalism's job to help audiences understand why that is happening and, crucially, that it doesn’t have to be this way.
