Ok, but how are the robots going to feel when they find out ‘robot’ comes from the Czech word ‘robota’ which means “forced labor”??

“Learning how to write badly isn’t learning a new skill; it’s learning how to tell perfectionism that it can no longer control my creative endeavors.” Tawny Lara explains why it’s okay to embrace your trash first drafts.

I really enjoyed his book, What I Talk About When I Talk About Running.
Haruki Murakami was about to turn 30 when a thought occurred to him: “You know what? I could try writing a novel.” Then he realized, “If I wanted to have a long life as a novelist, I needed to find a way to stay in shape.”

@literaryhub.bsky.social “Honestly, I wake every day thinking I have no clue what I’m doing. I can write a decent line of dialogue by getting the hell out of the way and not trying to overexplain? Some of my scenes could be longer?” -Peter Orner

Why would anyone want to go to the #nfldraft? The Good Lord knows we all need some fun, but I don’t get standing around for something you can’t see, for people who may or may not eventually one day play well, 31 of them not for your team. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In a secular way, most good stories dwell in Holy Saturdays, too. It’s what characters do when they can’t get what they want that reveals them, when they are afraid, when they are waiting.
Most of our lives are spent in Holy Saturday. That is, not in the unimaginable pain of a Good Friday, or in the unbounded joy of an Easter Sunday, but in between. Don't overlook what Holy Saturday can teach us about God, about waiting and about life. www.americamagazine.org/faith/2017/0...
