🌟 Super Tip Monday: 5 Steps to Reframing Your Outlook on Life
Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it. One minute everything is going smoothly, and the next you’re dealing with stress, setbacks, or situations that just don’t feel fair. While we can’t always control what happens to us, we can control how we see it. Reframing your outlook is all about shifting perspective—learning to look at challenges in a way that empowers you instead of defeating you.

“Press 1 for Frustration, Press 2 for Exhaustion, Press 3 to Scream Into the Void: A Caregiver’s Guide to How Absolutely NOTHING Is Simple Anymore”
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life recently, it’s this: nothing — and I mean NOTHING — can be handled in one simple step anymore. Everything takes a phone call.Which turns into three phone calls.Which turns into being transferred.Which turns into being “accidentally disconnected.”Which turns into you starting the whole story over like it’s Groundhog Day.

You May Not Like The Way I Talk About Cancer, Imagine How I Really Feel About Having Cancer
It’s interesting how some people are more upset about the words I use to talk about cancer than the fact that I actually have cancer. Not the diagnosis. Not the treatments. Not the emotional roller coaster. The words. Apparently, there is a preferred vocabulary when it comes to illness. Certain phrases are acceptable. Others are “too blunt,” “too dark,” or “not positive enough.” Some people want everything wrapped in inspirational language, like cancer is a motivational poster instead of a life-altering experience.

Sometimes Out of Tragedy, Beauty Can Be Born
Life has a way of breaking us in moments we never see coming. A loss, a failure, a heartbreak, an unexpected turn — tragedy often arrives without warning and leaves us feeling empty, confused, or defeated. In those moments, it can feel impossible to imagine anything good ever coming from the pain. Yet, time and time again, we witness something remarkable: out of the darkest seasons, beauty can be born.

Choosing Peace Doesn’t Mean Ignoring Reality
Every so often, someone will ask why I don’t post political commentary on my blog or across my platforms. In a world where every headline feels urgent and every opinion feels loud, it can seem like silence equals ignorance — like not engaging means you must not be paying attention. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Not speaking publicly about politics doesn’t mean my head is in the sand.

Why I Love All Things Star Wars

I love Star Wars because it isn’t just a movie series—it’s a language, a feeling, a mythology that grows with you. No matter how old I get or where life takes me, Star Wars meets me right where I am. It starts with wonder. That first rush of space, music swelling,…
Why I Love All Things Star Wars
I love Star Wars because it isn’t just a movie series—it’s a language, a feeling, a mythology that grows with you. No matter how old I get or where life takes me, Star Wars meets me right where I am. It starts with wonder. That first rush of space, music swelling, ships cutting across the screen—it taps into something primal. As a kid, it was adventure.

Drop everything you’re actively working on into that folder. At the end of the day or week, move those files to their permanent homes. Why it works:✔ Instantly reduces visual clutter✔ Keeps important files easy to find✔ Turns your desktop into a workspace, not a storage unit One small habit — big mental clarity.

Staying Positive While Your Body Is Filing Formal Complaints
I believe in positivity. I really do. I just didn’t realize how hard it would be to maintain when your body decides to wake up one morning and choose violence. There is a special kind of optimism required to smile through pain—the kind where you’re saying affirmations out loud while silently negotiating with your joints, nerves, or muscles like, “What exactly do you want from me today?”
