I'm not a Trump fan, but I think we need to be clear here. Musk is mad at him for not screwing average Americans over ENOUGH in favor of billionaires. It's two crocs arguging, and Musk is the croc that wants to eat us completely not just rip off our legs.

In the mid-2000s, Obama turned the GOP into a powerhouse. But it didn't happen overnight. The Left is coming. Swing voters aren't "turned off" by the left. They're "turned off" by a party that tells them nothing is wrong and seems out of touch.
